Most people wouldn't even think of buying a studio simply because it's too small. The art of space saving and the effective use of space is the best solution there is. It depends on how you decorate it.
1. Color Consideration - I personally prefer white or off-white or any neutral shades. Just don't forget to match light shades if you opt to choose darker shades. If you're worried about going to bold, use color and prints in smaller ways such as throw pillows or picture frames. As long as you secure balance in the room, there's no reason not to put bold colors.
As it creates an illusion of a bigger space. Making your place appear larger and can bring attention to the furniture and accessories to your home.
2. Furniture, Fixtures and Fittings - Choose a low profile furniture. Open up you space, if they see a lot of floor, you will automatically think the space is larger. The best way to achieve this is to place your pieces against the wall. Go for low profile sofa or ottomans, especially the very minimalist that can provide just the right balance.

Nothing better than loft bed makes you utilize you studio more. Creates extra space below. Where you can put your living area, extra cabinets and shelves.
3. Big Windows - Boost Natural Lighting - Big windows eliminates shadows and dark corners. Remove or don't put any big furniture near the window to let the sun in further. For your drapes, don't use too little fabric and don't hang the wrong curtains for your window style.
4. Mirrors and See-through Materials - Aside from being so practical on their own, mirrors add both additional light and the feeling of additional space into room by reflecting back natural and non-natural light. You can make see through divisions, such as open shelving without making it feel too tight making your space feeling airy and open as possible.
5. Get rid of stuff and reduce visual clutter - Less clutter equals more comfort and relaxation. Remove stuff that isn't necessary. Be mindful of leaving plenty of open space in your small house, both ease of movement and maintenance utility. Decorating small space is a bit of inventory taking or you will run the risk of overcrowding your space.
The ultimate is is to take as much advantage as you can of the space that you have. Small doesn't have to have to mean uncomfortable, ugly and claustrophobic. And while no design rule is set in stone, the tips above should help you do that.
